Avalara Tax Provider

Avalara AvaTax is sales tax software that automates tax calculations and the tax filing process. Avalara provides real-time tax rates from more than 12,000 taxing jurisdictions. It is a paid service not affiliated with Omnibasis. You can use default Omnibasis Tax Rates at no additional charge.

You can use Avalara AvaTax to:

• Get accurate and up-to-date tax codes from more than 12,000 jurisdictions
• Fine-tune a set of tax rules to meet your business’s needs
• Create accurate reports of your business’s taxes

To add Avalara tax integration, first create a new Tax Provider.

1. Navigate to omniCommerce \ Commerce Settings \ Taxes \ Tax Providers and click Create from action menu.
2. Set Type for Tax Provider to Avalara. Use Manual type if you plan to override tax rates. Use Omnibasis if you want to use Omnibasis tax tables.
3. Select a friendly Name to name your tax provider. Default is Avalara.
4. You need to login into your Avalara account and get Account Id.
5. Default Company Code is DEFAULT. If you changed the code, update it here.
6. Enter API Keys provided by Avalara.
7. Select your Environment. Default is Live.
